## What Is MCP?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is BlockDB's secure channel for AI agents and service accounts that need curated responses rather than raw streams. MCP sessions expose high-level operations (e.g., “fetch liquidity deltas for pool X”) and return structured payloads derived from the same datasets documented in the Data Catalog.
